If you are the active type you could Paddle a canoe on the smooth waters in front of your apartment or
Hire a bike and cycle along the paths as far as you like, or just to the next cafe!
For an unforgettable experience book a Temptation dolphin cruises,and swim with the local dolphins, or enjoy a sunset cruise.
The Glenelg Tram provides easy access to the heart of Adelaide.
Spend a day at the Adelaide Zoo and check out our Pandas Wang Wang and Funi!

The Old Adelaide goal, Bradman Museum
and Adelaide ovalhave lots to see and do; afterwards why not Have a picnic in the
Botanic Gardens, or you can stock up your chocolate supply with a trip to
Haigh's Chocolates factory on the way home.
Our kids love the Semaphore fun fair with its Carosel, little steam train and tin can alley games.
The St Kilda playground is a great spot for all ages with big slides, flying foxes and twisting slides.
Entry is free and bbqs are available so pack a picnic Or climb the giant rocking horse at Gumeracha and visit the toy factory, they make great wooden toys.
Another great day out is a drive down the Fleurieupeninsula to
Victor harbour or Goolwa, there are wineries,
Strawberry picking,the
Alexandrina Cheese factory, penguins to see on the beach and a
horse drawn carriage ride over to Granite Island.
In the Adelaide Hills the kids can have a hands on experience at the
Handoff animal farm barn and feed the kangaroos.
Dads will love to relive old memories at
Birdwood Museum full of classic cars and a huge motorbike collection too
Our world renown wineries are just on the doorstep. Glenelg is a great place to base yourself for day trips to the wineries of the Adelaide Hills,
McLaren Vale, Clare & Barossa Valley.
If it is just the 2 of you, why not go Hot Air Ballooning in the Barossa Valley. It is a fantastic day out and the wineries are world class. If

The Clare Valley offers a full day of hidden treasures. Start at the old copper mining town of Burra and end at the famous Seven Hills Winery,
all 2 hours from Glenelg.
The blokes always love a visit to the Coopers Brewery, or you can do some wine tasting and find out more about our states wine regions
at the Adelaide Wine Centre. Did you know that South Australia produces more than half of Australia's wine and 70% of wine that goes to export is from SA?
Enjoy a day in the Adelaide Hills anytime of the year. Hahndorf is particularly lovely in Autumn when the leaves are changing colour. There are some
wonderful places to eat -The Lane and Long View Vineyard are our favourites. Finish off with a romantic dinner and a stunning view of Adelaides lights at
the Windy Point Mt Lofty Summit restaurant.
Further a field why not spend a day on a Murray River Cruise?
Or do a day trip to Kangaroo Island with its
magnificent coastline and immense sandy beaches, transported by Sealink. We should warn you it is a LONG day trip- but its worth it!
You can expect to see kangaroos, fur seals, goannas, southern right and minke whales, echidnas, dolphin, wallabies, sea dragon, sea lions and possums.
There are some great foodie experiences on the island too. If you decide to stay the night we recommend the Kangaroo Island Lodge.

Harbour Town (outlet and discount shopping)!
Marion Westfield shopping centre is a 10 minute drive from our door, with 100's of shops, a Multiplex cinema and Bowling alley.
Adelaide is a foodie paradise with fantastic restaurants and dozens of excellent picnic spots in the Hills, Beaches and Parks.

You can grab some fresh seafood from Iorrens Island market and enjoy with wine from South Australia if you decide to eat in.
